X-girl x Masakazu Katsura

Kim Gordon from Sonic Youth co-founded X-girl in 1994 with her friend Daisy von Furth. Since then, the X-girl brand has curated a foundation of streetwear style that’s inspired by punk rock, Bohemian fashion, sportswear, and other niche cultures.

This season, X-girl is launching a collaborative capsule with Japanese manga artist Masakazu Katsura to celebrate the 40th anniversary of his debut graphic novel.

The 1990s run through X-girl’s DNA, and this capsule features designs inspired by Katsura’s most famous works from the decade including Shadow Lady, DNA², and Video Girl Ai. Individual pieces in the collection include graphic tees, Aloha shirts, handbags, and skate decks.
